Major funders include the Topfer Family Foundation, which gave $154,646 to Positive Parenting DuPage (Glen Ellyn, IL) to increase effective parenting by improving knowledge of child development and strengthening support services for families; $145,000 to Jane Addams Juvenile Court Foundation (Chicago, IL) to support child welfare and juvenile court reform through strengthening relationships and collaborations with community partners and by improving court systems and procedures; and $100,000 to the Any Baby Can Family Resource Center (Austin, TX) to support the Health and Fair Start Program, the CARE Program and development capacity; and $75,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas (Austin, TX) to support collaboration between neighborhood longhorns and Big Brothers Big Sisters to provide school based mentoring and tutoring for at-risk students.
The Herb Block Foundation provided $25,000 grants for Center for Victims of Torture (Minneapolis, MN) for defending basic freedoms grant; Human Rights First (New York, NY) for their End Torture Now Campaign; National Women's Law Center (Washington, DC); Planned Parenthood Federation of America (Washington, DC) for their Youth Peer Leadership Education and Outreach Project; and St. Ann's Infant and Maternity Home (Hyattsville, MD) for their Teen Mother Baby Program.
The Libra Foundation gave a $50,000 grant to the Chicago Foundation for Women; $50,000 to the Global Fund for Women (San Francisco, CA); $50,000 to IPPF/WHR (International Planned Parenthood Federation/Western Hemisphere Region); and $40,000 to the Center for Women Policy Studies (Washington, DC).
The Blachford-Cooper Foundation provided grants of $37,000 and $35,000 to the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation to support gay/lesbian communications; $35,000 and $25,000 to the San Diego GLBT Center; and $10,000 to the Gay and Lesbian Leadership Council (Washington, DC).
The Four-Four Foundation provided $61,000 to Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin (Milwaukee, WI); $21,000 to La Causa (Milwaukee, WI) for their crisis nursery; and $10,000 to the Women's Center (Milwaukee, WI).
The Pond Foundation gave $591,348 to Equality Now (New York, NY); $72,000 to the Santa Fe Rape Crisis Center (NM); and $60,000 to Friends of Tibetan Women (Santa Fe, NM).
The Linde Family Foundation gave $550,000 to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute (Boston, MA); $83,000 to the West End House Boys and Girls Club of Allston-Brighton (MA); and $30,000 to the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston.
The Leonard and Evelyn Lauder Foundation, which has given grants totaling over $1M to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (New York, NY); $10,000 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America (New York, NY); and $10,000 to the New York Women's Foundation.

Major Funders include the Arcus Foundation, which gave $3.9M to Save the Chimps (Fort Pierce, FL); $1.9M to Fauna and Flora International (Cambridge, England) for the Great Apes Program; and $484,000 to the Kalamazoo Nature Center (MI) for an urban nature park project.
The Howard G. Buffett Foundation gave $3.3M to the Danforth Plant Science Center (St. Louis, MO) for development of virus resistant sweet potato for Africa, United States, Peru, and Uganda; $564,300 to CARE USA (Atlanta, GA) for the International Gorilla Conservation Program in Rwanda; and $250,000 to the Nature Conservation Trust for land purchase in South Africa.
The Tiffany and Company Foundation gave $1.1M to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History (Washington, DC) to establish the Tiffany and Company Foundation Collection at the National Gem Collection; $500,000 to the Land Trust Alliance (Washington, DC) in support of the Land Trust Alliance Land Training and Accreditation Program that works to ensure the quality and permanence of land conservation efforts; and $450,000 to Trout Unlimited (Merrifield, VA) to build upon successful abandoned mineland watershed restoration project located in Utah's American Fork Canyon.
The Wendy P. McCaw Foundation gave $142,000 to Wind River Bear Institute (Florence, MT) for bear protection programs; $107,750 to California Wolf Center (Julian, CA) for Southwest Mexican Wolf protection; $100,000 to Wildlife Conservation Society (Bozeman, MT) for Polar Bear conservation; and $98,000 to the Mountain Lion Foundation (Sacramento, CA) for their Rural Partners Project.
The Tamarind Foundation gave $100,000 to the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (Minneapolis, MN); $67,000 to the Citizens Campaign for the Environment (Farmingdale, NY) ; $65,151 to the Western Environmental Law Center (Eugene, OR); and $61,000 to the Peconic Baykeepers (Quoque, NY).
The Grantham Foundation for the Protection of the Environment provided grants of $1.5 million to the World Wildlife Fund (Washington, DC); $823,750 to RARE Conservation (Arlington, VA); $500,000 to the Nature Conservancy (Arlington, VA); and $198,000 to the Metcalf Institute for Marine and Environmental Reporting (Narrangansett, RI).
The Kaleidoscope Foundation gave $1.6 million to the Cascade Land Conservancy (Seattle, WA) for conservation of wetland wildlife habitats; $200,250 to Columbia Land Trust (Vancouver, WA) for conservation; and $100,000 to Audubon Washington (Seattle, WA) for conservation.
